GAINS Australia Inventory Management
Sales, Inventory & Optimisation Planning
The SI&OP module links high-level strategic plans with day-to-day operations to balance demand and supply while integrating financial and operations planning.   By utilising this module, decisions made in SI&OP meetings can be directly translated to operational activity and implemented immediately.  Likewise, any changes made ‘on the front line’ rollup in real-time to provide a refreshed sales, inventory, labour or purchasing budget and plan.  Aggregation and drill down capability ensures the information is presented in the most relevant fashion for each participant (e.g. sales channel for the sales team, category for product managers, location for warehouse managers) and the unit of measure set as appropriate (e.g. dollars for finance, units for supply chain, volume for manufacturing).

GAINS’ simulation ability allows businesses to accurately model the impact of changes to key strategic decisions such as customer service levels, introduction of new product ranges, changes to the distribution network and sources of supply, roll-out of new sales channels or stores, and price changes.  GAINS’ predictive power will also flag and provide the organisation with plenty of time to prepare for significant supply chain events such as sales peaks, vendor shutdowns, and product launches.

Benefits include:
  • Increased plan accuracy by integrating leading indicator information and market knowledge
  • Synchronised planning across the organisation and among enterprises
  • Matched resource and/or capacity plans to sales plans
  • Accurate estimates of total financial impacts of any plan and the ability to simulate scenarios.
