Training
A proven implementation methodology is employed that lifts planning processes, people and systems to a best-in-class level.  By necessity, this is achieved with a change management approach that encompasses
People
Processes, and
Technology
  • People – trained, educated and mentored in the new way of working so that each individual is capable and competent in the new processes
  • Processes – comprehensive, co-ordinated and efficient so each role and function in the business works together to deliver the business objective
  • Technology – appropriate, sophisticated but simple, and optimised to minimise cost and maximise revenue
Our standard transitions work streams to ensure the smooth transition to new processes and systems include:
  • Process and system training
  • A system parallel period
  • A user acceptance and training (UAT) period
  • A pre-go-live “impact assessment” to give the business a view on what can be expected when the new processes and systems go live, and to assist in the go-live planning
  • Go-live planning that includes both business and technical impacts and requirements
  • Post go-live side by side coach mentor presence and technical support to ensure a smooth transition to the new processes and systems

At each step along this journey, team members are up-skilled and become more capable and effective.

In addition, all GAINS Australia and Asia Pacific users have complimentary access to the annual GAINS Research Group (GRG) conference.  The GRG's purpose is twofold: first, it is intended to bring together the active members of the GAINS user community with the software’s development team to determine the direction of GAINS product development and, secondly, to provide a forum to discuss further improving our customers’ ROI through sharing knowledge regarding the extended application of existing GAINS optimisation techniques.

Mentoring
As part of effectively implementing GAINS, we use Coach Mentors whose primary role is to work side by side with clients at the planning and execution levels to ensure processes are embedded, new skills are learned, knowledge is transferred and that any new disciplines become regular behaviour. Our Coach Mentors are experienced industry practitioners and have spent between 15 and 20 years in planning roles themselves.

Coaching & Mentoring is different to Training & Education because it provides valuable support and guidance to the planning team whilst they are doing the job. It is hands-on, and usually one-on-one to address any specific characteristics of a practitioner’s work. We have found that Coaching & Mentoring is what makes processes and systems deliver sustainable results, specifically because it addresses the 'people issues'. Coaching & Mentoring up-skills our clients’ teams, embeds the new disciplines and lays the foundations for sustainability. This unique, proven service has been developed and refined over many years, and it consistently delivers superior results.
